The exercises cater to four main categories within addition and subtraction. The training covers a range of skills, from understanding bead-number translations to memorization, addition, subtraction, and even a blend of both for a comprehensive practice incorporating beads and numerics.

Two distinct modes are available to suit different learning objectives. The Practice mode allows for an unlimited number of questions without time constraints, emphasizing accuracy. Conversely, the Challenge mode necessitates completing all questions within a specific time frame, promoting speed alongside precision.

Performance metrics, scores, and detailed progress reports are generated in both practice and challenge modes, facilitating effective monitoring of learning progression. These reports aid in identifying strengths and weaknesses, enabling a personalized approach to abacus training.

In addition to conducting exercises directly on iPhone or iPad within a timed session, users have the option to export both the quiz paper and answer paper in PDF format for offline practice. All questions are generated randomly to ensure uniqueness in each quiz paper. For added convenience, printing and emailing functionalities are readily available.
